The head of Sevastopol controlled by the Russian Federation, Mykhailo Razvozhaev, reported about an air alarm in the city, and the network wrote about loud noises in Simferopol, Gvardiyskyi, Novofedorivka and Alushta.
Razvozhaev announced the announcement of an air alert at 11:25 p.m. local time, after which for an hour and a half the sounds of the Russian Air Defense Forces and explosions rang out in the city.
The authorities controlled by the Russian Federation announced the alleged downing of three UAVs over Sevastopol, without saying how many were launched in total.
The correspondent of the Radio Liberty Krym.Realii project noted that the air alert signal was announced already after the first sounds of explosions were heard. One of the explosions was particularly strong.
According to his data, drones were spotted over Sevastopol, and air defense missiles were launched from the area of Cape Fiolent.
At the same time, Crimean telegram channels also reported on the sounds of explosions and the work of air defense systems in Simferopol, Gvardiyskyi, Novofedorivka, and Alushta.
In particular, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, referring to its readers, wrote about the explosions in the area of the Russian military airfield “Saki” near Novofedorivka and the operation of large-caliber machine guns, as well as other means of air defense of the Russian Federation in Gvardiyskyi.
At 01:16 local time, there was a report of a powerful explosion that was heard in Alushta.
The Russian authorities did not comment on these reports. At the same time, during the night, Russian monitoring channels reported on the threat of an attack by UAVs almost all over Crimea.
On the morning of November 23, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the alleged shooting down of 10 drones over the Crimean Peninsula and 30 over the Black Sea.
They did not provide confirmation of their words, and it is still impossible to confirm the information they voiced with the help of alternative sources. The Ukrainian military did not comment on these reports.
Since 2022, the territory of the peninsula has been attacked by drones and missiles almost every day, in most cases the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation or the Russian authorities do not confirm hits on military objects, even if this information can be verified.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, when confirming the attacks, indicate that the Defense Forces of Ukraine “systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces, as well as forcing the Russian Federation to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.”
