On November 19, in the Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region, the Russian occupiers shot five unarmed Ukrainian military prisoners.

Details: Under the procedural leadership of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation was started in criminal proceedings for the commission of a war crime that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the State Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The prosecutor’s office recalled that the killing of prisoners is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a grave international crime.
