As a result of the impact, 33 people died, including 6 children. 94 were injured, including 18 children.

The main emergency rescue and search operations in Ternopil were carried out at two locations. On one of them, an apartment building suffered significant destruction, some people were under rubble and blocked in their apartments.
Departments of the State Emergency Service from 9 regions, canine experts, heavy equipment, doctors and psychologists were involved in the work.

Prehistory:
- On the night of November 19, Russia struck an industrial facility and two residential buildings located on the territory of the “Sonyachny” massif in Ternopil. As a result of the shelling, significant destruction and casualties among the civilians of the city were recorded.
- The Air Force confirmed that multi-apartment residential buildings in the city of Ternopil were hit by Russian Kh-101 cruise missileslaunched from strategic aviation aircraft: 6 Tu-95MS (Olenya airfield), 4 Tu-160MS (Engels and Ukrainka airfields). The regions of the launches are the Vologda and Astrakhan regions of the Russian Federation.
- On November 22, the death toll from the Russian attack on Ternopil on November 19 increased to 33.
