The exchange was picked up online as Phelps kept his arms around Love whilst talking to her.
Love, 29, said: “You see me? I’m doing my damn thing.
“They ain’t f***ing with me.”
Phelps, 40, responded: “I see you.”
Now rocking long hair tied back in a small man bun and a beard which makes him barely recognisable, the 23-time Olympic gold medal winner stayed behind Love for 15 seconds, going back in for another hug.
He kept talking to her and put his arm on her back whilst continuing to chat before Love brought him in for a third time.
They shared another brief hug as Phelps lingered next to his fellow American.

The pair met in 2007 and have been together ever since, but that did not stop X users from raising eyebrows.

Another had clearly seen Nicole posting an image of her during the pregnancy for son Nico.
Nicole uploaded the picture earlier in the week, causing some to think she was due another child.
Someone said: “If my husband did this while i was pregnant i’d be so p***ed”.
The Phelps’ are not expecting again but the issue had definitely been spotted.
