Roman HRYGORCHUK: “This is a top team. It’s a pity that they don’t play in the European Cups”

A famous Ukrainian coach Roman Hryhorchuk praised Zhytomyr Polissya. The expert believes that it is the “Wolves” who are currently showing top football and could make a splash in the European Cups.

– At the beginning of the season, I said that in order to build the game that Rotan wants to see, we will see Polissia in its full form only after the winter training, but I was wrong.

Nowadays, we can see that even before, there are noticeable improvements in the team’s play. Polissia is getting better with every game and shows good football with every game. Polissia is a top team that plays top football. It’s even a pity that now they don’t play in the European Cups, said Roman.

In the current season of the Ukrainian Premier League, Polissia occupies the third place in the tournament table, having 23 points after 12 matches played. Ruslan Rotan’s wards failed to make it to the main round of the Conference League, losing to Fiorentina in the qualifiers.
