Page Six editor Mohr joined the Post‘s gossip column in 2011 after time at Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. News of Mohr leaving his native New York City for Hollywood follows a Nov. 18 launch event for California Postwhich will be based on the Fox lot.
If you’re counting, Page Six Hollywood will join both the flagship Page Six and TMZ in the stable of entertainment news properties controlled by the Murdochs (TMZ is owned by the Lachlan Murdoch-run Fox Corp).
On Aug. 4, News Corp, revealed a plan to challenge The Los Angeles Times and bring the New York Post to the West coast with the launch of The California Postto be led by Nick Papps, a veteran of Murdoch’s Australian papers.

He joined Page Six in 2011 and has been central to its unmatched voice and impact ever since. Before that, he served as New York Bureau Chief of The Hollywood Reporter and Box Office Editor at Variety, and worked in film development and production at MGM. A Brooklyn native, Ian’s career has spanned both coasts and nearly every corner of the entertainment industry, from Hollywood studios to the center of New York’s gossip scene.
