Details: The Trump administration’s latest attempt to renew negotiations involves a plan that outlines Russia’s known demands on Ukraine, which Kiev has repeatedly called unacceptable.

According to a person familiar with the matter, the proposal includes demands for Ukraine to hand over to the Kremlin territories in eastern Donbas currently controlled by Ukrainian forces, as well as lifting sanctions against Russia and ending investigations into war crimes committed by the Russian Federation during its bloody full-scale invasion.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received signals from the United States that he should agree to an agreement developed in consultation with Moscow, a person familiar with the matter said.
President Donald Trump supports the plan, according to a senior US official.
“The president and his team never give up, and the United States is working on a detailed and mutually acceptable plan to stop the killing and build a strong, lasting peace,” said White House press secretary Caroline Levitt.
It will be recalled that information about the new “peace plan” appeared in a number of American mass media on November 19.
These publications mentioned what the plan entails the transfer of all of Donbas to Russia, also, Ukraine should limit its arsenal of weapons, cut the army in half and agree to Russian as the second state language.
The EU’s chief diplomat, Kaya Callas, said that the EU welcomes efforts to end the war in Ukraine, but any such plan should involve Ukraine and Europe.
