The government wants to transfer about UAH 20 billion from Energoatom’s accounts to the state budget

The Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Finance plan to transfer roughly 20 billion hryvnias from the balances on the accounts of NAEK Energoatom to the state budget. The Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Finance plan to transfer roughly 20 billion hryvnias from the balances on the accounts of NAEK Energoatom to the state budget.

This was announced by the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy Andriy Gerus on Facebook.

According to him, after the tariff increase, the company became “very profitable” and accumulated significant funds. Gerus noted that he had already discussed the issue with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance — and all parties agreed that these funds should be paid to the state as dividends.

He clarified that the approximate amount that can be directed to the budget is about UAH 20 billion.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted an action plan for updating the composition of supervisory boards and executive bodies of companies of the fuel and energy complex.
