Veteran Thomas Muller, who joined MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps just a few months ago, has made it clear that his future lies with North America.

His current contract runs until the end of 2025, but includes an option to extend into 2026. In a conversation with kicker, Muller resolutely answered “YES” to the question of a possible continuation of cooperation.

The legendary ex-Bavaria player had a great start to his overseas career. Less than two months after his arrival, he won the Canadian title, surpassing former teammate Toni Kroos to become the most decorated German soccer player of all time with 35 trophies.

His individual statistics are also impressive: 9 goals and 4 assists in 10 matches.

Muller stressed that he did not come to the Whitecaps on vacation, stressing that he is serious about MLS. Although he admitted that it is much easier to play in Vancouver than in Munich.

Currently, Muller has his sights set on the main trophy – the MLS Cup.

“I have moved to a new league and a new country and I would like to show an extraordinary team performance in a short period of time,” said Thomas.

The Vancouver Whitecaps take on Los Angeles in the MLS Cup Conference Playoff Semi-Finals this weekend. Muller expressed his confidence in his team’s victory, joking that he always beat the teams played by Son Heung-min.

It is worth noting that Bayern president Herbert Gainer previously confirmed that he had held talks with Muller about a possible position at the club in the future, after his MLS playing career ends.
