A mural dedicated to the memory of Taras Davydyuk, a journalist and serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who died in November 2023 near Robotyn in Zaporizhzhia, appeared on the capital embankment.
The work on the mural was carried out by artists Vladyslav Pavlenko and Tina Didenko during four days from November 8 to 11.
The project was realized under the curatorship of Evgenia Fullen, an artist whose works have repeatedly caused controversy in the capital.
The creation of the mural was paid for by the mother of the fallen hero, who insisted on the immediate implementation of the project on a commercial basis.
Initially, the mural was planned to be placed in Rivne, but the initiative faced strong resistance from the local community. The city introduced a moratorium on the creation of new murals, which made it impossible to implement the plan.
Evgenia Fullen explained that the embankment in Kyiv is a legal zone for murals, where special permits are not required.
the artist told the publication “Suspilne”
We will remind you that a new art symbol of Kyiv – the mural “Vilna” – appeared at DVRZ.
Also, a mural with a Black Hawk helicopter appeared in the center of Kyiv near the Czech Embassy.
