The winger of Benfica and the Norwegian national team, Andreas Schelderup, was sentenced to 14 days of probation.

The incident happened when the footballer was 19 years old and played for Norschelland in Denmark. Schelderup sent the 27-second video to a group chat with four friends, and quickly deleted it after realizing the illegality of the material.
According to the source, Schelderup admitted his guilt and explained in court that the distribution of the video was a reckless joke, and he had no intention of a sexual nature.
“I got the video on Snapchat as a bad joke. And then I forwarded it to a group of four friends and continued the bad joke. When I forwarded the video, I realized pretty quickly that it was illegal, so I quickly deleted it in the group and on my phone. How long did it take me to do that? Within one minute,” said 21-year-old Schelderup.
The court in Copenhagen took into account this confession, as well as the fact that the video was not made by him independently, and handed down a suspended sentence with a probationary period of one year without community service.
The prosecutor had previously asked for a 20-day prison sentence, but Judge Mathias Eike decided to reduce the sentence. Schelderup has the right to appeal the sentence, but his lawyer is not currently commenting on a possible appeal.
The football player personally apologized to the public, friends, family, club and fans for his mistake, stressing that he is fully aware of the seriousness of the situation and is ready to take responsibility.
