The Turkish club announced the return of the player of the Ukrainian national team

Winger of the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Zubkov returned to the Turkish “Trabzonspor” after the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The 29-year-old footballer played against France (0:4) and Iceland (2:0) and helped the “blue and yellow” to make it to the playoffs.

“Zubkov, who scored a goal and played a key role in Ukraine’s victory over Iceland, is back in the lineup. He started training with his teammates and met head coach Fatih Tekke in person,” Turkey said.

“Trabzonspor” held classes at the club base of Mehmet Ali Yilmaz – the first part of the training under the leadership of the team’s coach was held in the format of warm-up. Later, the football players played a “5 on 2” match, and also practiced the accuracy of shots and playing in the other half of the field.

“Burgundy Blues” will play on the road against “Istanbul Basaksehir” on November 24 – the match of the 13th round will start at 19:00 Kyiv time. Trabzonspor scored 25 points and placed third in the tournament table.

In the current season, Zubkov played 12 matches in all competitions at the club level, in which he scored one goal and provided three assists.
