Lawyer Viktoriya Dedyshcheva, who in a number of media and anonymous telegram channels is called “Mindic’s female lawyer” in the context of the so-called “Mindic tapes”, publicly declared the spread of false accusations and emphasized the absence of any illegal actions on her part.
“I am forced to make a public appeal due to the spread of inaccurate information about me in anonymous Telegram channels and individual media,” Dedyshcheva said.
According to her, these materials contain baseless assumptions about her role in the case.
“First of all, I have nothing to do with any illegal actions mentioned in the mentioned materials,” she emphasized. Dedyshcheva also denied any connections with Russian structures or representatives of the occupation administrations: “I am not and have never been connected with Russian structures.”
Separately, she stated that she did not visit temporarily occupied Donetsk after the start of the war: “I did not visit Donetsk after the start of the war, including for personal reasons, despite the loss of loved ones. Any statements about “mission trips” are a complete fabrication.”
Regarding cooperation with Timur Mindich, Dedyshcheva confirmed it, but emphasized that it is exclusively professional and legal: “I have really been working with Timur Mindich for quite a long time. All our cooperation is in the legal field, and I can characterize my relationship with him only positively. I will not “change shoes” and bully a person because “friendship is not at the right time.”
The lawyer called the attempt to discredit her because of her place of birth absurd: “My legal background, education and Donetsk roots cannot be a basis for discrediting. The fact that I was born in Donetsk does not give grounds for inventing any nonsense.” She emphasized that such logic can humiliate hundreds of thousands of displaced persons: “According to the logic of some Telegram channels, the presence of elderly relatives in Donetsk should be “executed”, and it is necessary to check whether there is no Russian trace.”
Dedyshcheva also drew attention to the dangerous trend of public accusations without evidence: “Today, any person who has Donetsk origins, a Ukrainian legal education, or acquaintances that seem to some to be “wrong” can be declared guilty without facts, evidence, and court decisions.”
“This not only discredits the principle of the rule of law, for which we are fighting,” she emphasized, “but also calls into question the civilizational maturity of our society.”
