The Ministry of Veterans Affairs can also help in obtaining a UBD certificate / photo UNIANThe Ministry of Defense has simplified the procedure for obtaining a new ID card for a participant in hostilities (UBD) in case of its loss or theft, as well as for those released from captivity. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
“From now on, in order to obtain a new UBD certificate, it is not necessary to attach a document to the corresponding application confirming the acceptance and registration of the application to the National Police regarding the loss or theft of the document, as well as the announcement of the loss or theft published in the print media,” the ministry notes.
In addition, now released military personnel do not need to attach the materials of an official investigation to the application for a new ID card.
It is noted that the corresponding changes were made by order of the Ministry of Defense.
How to get a new UBD certificateIt is noted that in case of loss or theft of the UBD card, active servicemen must submit a report to the commander of the military unit, and those discharged from military service must contact the TCC and SP in which they are registered.
You can also apply to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, if the status of UBD was obtained through an interagency commission created under this ministry.
The following documents must be added to the application for a new UBD certificate:
- a copy of the lost (stolen) certificate (if available);
- voucher sheet and its copy;
- a copy of the first page of the passport (passport in the form of a card);
- two 3 x 4 cm color photos on matte paper, the face image should occupy 65-70% of the photo.
As UNIAN reported, in Ukraine, former military personnel who took part in hostilities can independently obtain the status of a participant in hostilities (UBD). This can be done in several ways – submit the documents in person, send them by mail or complete everything online.
