The investigation established that in order to register a disability, the person involved, with a prior collusion with medical workers, organized the production of a falsified referral to the MSEK. On the basis of this document, the medical and social expert commission unjustifiably assigned him the second group of disabilities indefinitely. The National Police has already canceled the illegally registered disability. The conclusions of the medical and social examinations confirmed that the established disability was unfounded and did not correspond to his real state of health. In addition, using the same schemes, the man illegally obtained the status of an internally displaced person and received additional social benefits.
As part of the investigation, searches were conducted and financial documentation, forged certificates and other evidence were seized. Police investigators have already informed the accused about suspicion of fraud. Police are also investigating the possible involvement of medical professionals who may have been involved in the scheme. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
In the Kostopil district court of the Rivne region, a woman was fined who, using photoshop and a proofreader, falsified disability documents so that her son could receive a deferment from mobilization.
The prosecutor of the Khmelnytskyi regional prosecutor’s office, Olha Veselovska, said that she “no longer considers herself a person with a disability.” She made such a statement after she was forced to undergo a second medical examination.
