“Ternopil is still a witness of a real hell. While the heroic rescue services are making their way through the rubble, the number of victims may increase. Friends of the victims described a night “unforgettable” – chaos, fire, screams, collapsed residential buildings. This is the reality of Russian terror deliberately targeting civilians. This is not a fight against the army. This is an attempt to erase people and their lives,” she wrote on Facebook.
Maternova added that Ukraine is under constant shelling, but still continues to fight – “for all of us”.
Residential buildings have been hit in Ternopil. Rescuers are sorting through the rubble, under which there may still be people. In the city, two residential 9-story buildings were damaged: in one – a fire, in the other – destruction from the 3rd to the 9th floor. As of 12:00 p.m., 16 people are known to have died, 64 more people were injured, including 14 children.
In Lviv Oblast and Prykarpattia, the energy infrastructure was damaged due to the attack of the Russian Federation.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of November 19, the forces of the Russian Federation launched a combined attack on the objects of critical infrastructure of Ukraine using 476 attack UAVs and 48 air and ground-based missiles. The main direction of the Russian attack is Lviv region, Ternopil region, Kharkiv region.
The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
