At the same time, the spokesman of the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services, Jacek Dobzynskiy, said that several people had been detained. “The role of certain individuals in this terrorist act is being established,” he said.
Prior to this, the mass media unofficially learned that the investigators found four alleged accomplices of the saboteurs – also Ukrainian citizens who helped the two performers and live in Poland.
What happened before:
- On November 18, during a speech in the Diet, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the investigation considers two Ukrainian citizens who cooperate with Russian special services to be the perpetrators of acts of sabotage on the Polish railway. They entered Poland from the territory of Belarus and managed to leave after sabotage.
- He stated that Poland will demand the arrest and extradition of the suspects.
- Subsequently, Warsaw announced that in connection with these cases it was closing the consulate of the Russian Federation in Gdańsk – the last one in Poland.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that the Russian Federation deliberately recruits people with Ukrainian passports for such actions.
- The section of the Warsaw-Lublin railway, on which the sabotage was carried out, is of strategic importance for assistance to Ukraine.
