Karina Bahur studied in the second year at the Berestyn Pedagogical College “Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy” majoring in “Secondary Education (Physical Culture)”. She started her sports career at the age of seven in the “Peresvit” military sports club.
Coach Volodymyr Zibarov immediately noticed her extraordinary potential. During ten years of intensive training, the girl became one of the most successful pupils of the club.

Karina is the champion of Europe (2023 and 2025), medalist of the World Championship (2023), champion of Ukraine in Cossack duel and kickboxing, master of sports of Ukraine. This year, the girl also received the title of ISKA master of sports in kickboxing. Despite her young age, she has already trained a group of children. Tomorrow, November 19, Karina was supposed to go to the World Cup in Austria.

It should be noted that on the night of November 17-18, Katsapas hit Berestin with four Iskander ballistic missiles. Churches, residential buildings, commercial premises, shops and transport were damaged at the sites of the hits. An infrastructure facility was also hit. 11 people were injured of varying degrees of severity, one person died – Karina Bahur.
According to data from open sources, at least 22 representatives of kickboxing died during the Russian aggression, including Oleksiy Yanin, Yevhen Garda, Nazar Makarenko, Maksym Bereshchuk, Mykola Zabchuk, Maksym Bordus, Yuriy Koretskyi, Serhiy Lysyuk, Oleg Rysak, Roman Holovatyuk, Serhii Podolyan and Denis Furtas.
