“The senior lieutenant of the “Freedom” battalion of the 4th brigade of the National Guard “Rubizh”, Hero of Ukraine Vladyslav “Vogon” Stotskyi became one of the 100 leaders of Ukraine in the annual rating of UP 100.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua
Photo: UPStotsky, a graduate of the National Guard Academy, deliberately chose the path of front-line service: instead of the safe service in his specialty, he voluntarily joined a unit with volunteer traditions in order, as he said, “to feel what real war is like.” His call sign “Fire” became not just a fighting name, but a symbol of stability and determination.

Ukraine found out about Vladyslav after an interview with Yuriy Butusov, where it was told how he and several fighters of the 67th battalion continuously defended the “Pincher” position near Siversk, the last three weeks of which were completely surrounded under dense enemy fire, attacks by attack aircraft, gas drops and FPV drones. During one of the fiercest battles, Vladyslav led a nine-hour shooting battle in close contact, rescuing wounded comrades and continuing to fire despite losses.
Thanks to his actions and the actions of “Svoboda” fighters, it was possible to destroy up to 50 occupiers, several pieces of equipment and escape from an almost hopeless environment. For this feat, Vladyslav Stotsky was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine – together with his brothers Roman Omelyanenko and Oleksandr Khomyak (posthumously). He met the news of this at the combat positions.
26-year-old Vladyslav continues his service. His story is an example of the heroism of a Ukrainian infantryman, worthy of an epic and the pen of future Jungers and Remarques.
“Fire” is not just a call sign. It’s character. The story of Vladyslav became one of those that define the indomitable spirit of our time. It is such people who shape Ukraine today – and for this they are recognized by the UP 100 award.
Reference: UP 100 is an annual project of “Ukrainian Truth”, in which 100 Ukrainian leaders are celebrated, whose actions determine the independence, development and future of Ukraine.
