The Transcarpathian District Administrative Court decided to dismantle the hotel and entertainment complex built on the territory of the old Jewish cemetery in the village of Solotvino.
The facility is located in the “Chetate” tract and is known as the “Panorama” hotel with swimming pools and restaurants, where vacationers have been coming for years.
According to the investigation, the owner of the complex, Maria Pop, erected the building without any permits for construction work and without an approved project.
In fact, the entertainment business was placed right at the burial site, which caused the indignation of the families of the buried and representatives of the Jewish community.
The impetus for the reaction of state bodies was the statement of the head of the Jewish religious community of the Tyachiv district, Yakob Fixler, who in April 2024 turned to NABU with a notification about the development of a part of the existing Jewish cemetery.
After that, in October 2024, an unscheduled commission of the DABC visited the facility, which officially recorded spontaneous construction without any legal documents.
The inspectors issued an order until December 23, 2024, either to issue all the necessary permit documentation, or to voluntarily demolish the structures and restore the land plots. The owner of the hotel ignored the requirements of the control body, continuing to use the object as if the violation did not exist.
It will be recalled that the court took another person involved in the “Midas” case into custody.
The Kyiv court also confirmed the historic decision on the same-sex couple.
