“Quality shoes”: Yarmak took a hard “walk” on the stars of Ukrainian showbiz

In an interview with Yanina Sokolova, the serviceman was asked how he feels about performers who “changed their shoes sharply in the air” and translated their Russian-language songs into Ukrainian. The presenter clarified that it is about artists like Ola Polyakova, Monatyk, Loboda and others:

“In general, it’s good that they are moving in this direction. But for me, in some sense, this is an adaptation. Since 2014, many people have written about Ukraine, sometimes with Russian artists [був]he went to speak at Gazprom’s corporate parties.

Yarmak noted that in terms of culture, he does not rely much on these artists, and also does not intersect with them in any way. “They are very smart and very high-quality shoe changers. I see how they very well involve people who have moved Ukrainian culture into cooperation,” the singer added.

According to the defender, it is worth remembering that the deeds and actions of these people in the past also led to the current situation. He noted that there is no need to “kick out” such stars from the Ukrainian space, but let them stay together in “their own environment”.

It is worth noting that before the war, Yarmak also toured in Russia, and his songs, in particular, in Russian, had a large audience there. After the Russian invasion, he served in the ATO zone, and with the beginning of a full-scale war, he voluntarily joined the army.
