In the conditions of shelling and destruction, Ukrainian universities are trying to preserve their quality of education and teaching methods. Although the number of damaged educational institutions is a significant part, some universities have managed to increase the number of students by expanding cooperation with foreign universities and introducing joint programs such as “Erasmus+”.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, European universities began to actively attract Ukrainian students, offering them more loyal terms of admission. This jeopardizes the filling of Ukrainian universities, as young people pay attention to study opportunities abroad, simplified procedures and more affordable scholarships, which calls for the need to improve the Ukrainian education system to curb the outflow of young people.
