Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi rejected an extremely lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023. The three-year contract provided for an amount exceeding 120 million euros, but the Argentine decided to stay in Istanbul.

The football player’s agent, George Hardy, explained the reason for this decision:

“In the summer of 2023, he rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia worth more than 120 million euros over three years because he felt the support of the fans and decided to stay at the club,” the player’s representative said.

Icardi’s final transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Galatasaray was completed in 2023, and even after that, the Argentine received an offer from the Middle East, which he decided not to accept.

Earlier it became known that Galatasaray wants to extend the contract with Icardi.
