During the searches of the persons involved in the “Midas” case, they found “briquettes” of dollars in the packaging of American banks. The NBU claims that it cannot establish their origin.
Deputy Chairman of the NBU Dmytro Oliynyk announced this during a meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission on Economic Security, reports Ukrinform.
Oliynyk emphasized that eight banks currently import dollars and euros into Ukraine, and the total volume of imports amounts to billions of dollars.
Impossibility of identification: “To give a short answer, unfortunately, there is no unique register by which it would be possible to compare barcodes, numbers and compare where these bills came from in Ukraine,” said Oliinyk. Without such a system, it is impossible to “find out exactly where this million was, whether it was in a bank, whether it was in the “gray” market, whether it was in investment companies or “exchanges”. Perhaps the Federal Reserve System has such information, but certainly not on the territory of Ukraine.
Oliynyk added that currently the regulator has begun to collect information on the system in order to generalize how banks trade currency among themselves, and who uses it exclusively for their own purposes.
We will remind you who Timur Mindich is and why he appears in NABU affairs.
Mindich, a figure in the Energoatom case, may also be involved in the purchase of low-quality body armor for the army.
We have also already reported whether NABU and SAP had contact with Zelenskyi and how Mindich left.
Timur Mindich, a figure in the corruption investigation, probably also had an influence on Rustem Umyerov, the former Minister of Defense.
