The 42-year-old Dutchman told several vivid stories about the professionalism and habits of the Portuguese forward.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was an incredible teammate. But I didn’t see him that often because he was always busy with himself.
I once said he was the only partner whose member I never saw because he was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. He didn’t like me saying that very much!
He had more creams and conditioners in his bag than the entire staff put together, but… he was phenomenal. I didn’t have even 5% of his motivation for training. It was fantastic to be his teammate,” van der Vaart was quoted as saying The Touchline.
