Applications are opened for the 2026 seriesCredit: Shutterstock Editorial And now show bosses have dropped a major hint that the fly-on-the-wall show is set to return for 2026.
It appears that auditions have already opened for next year.
Big Brother superfans can fill out an application to take part in the upcoming series, when the social experiment returns.
It says: “Have you got what it takes to be a great Housemate?
“If you want an amazing experience and a chance of winning an incredible amount of money, we’d love to hear from you.
Please complete the application form in as much detail as possible making sure to include a recent picture and short video clip.”
Fans have raced to the comment section to share their opinion on the audition process.
One wrote: “Let’s hope they pick some good people. we’ve had a year of mostly influencers now back to normal people please.”
A second said: “Can we make next year: 8 weeks. 16 housemates. A true variety of ages and background. Bigger outdoor area for audience (think C5 days). Number of backdoor evictions limited to ONE well executed one (take inspiration from Matty’s letter from home eviction). The rest to be live.”
Someone else said: “What’s the point of most of the housemate are scouted, let hope if Richard does win then they see we want normal people, not influencers.”
The Sun reached out to ITV for comment.
Since it’s been adopted by ITV, the show has returned to the levels of popularity it attained back when Davina McCall hosted it on Channel 4.
Viewers have seen a romance blossom between Marcus and Elsa – The L Word recently rearing its head between the Big Brother couple.
Other key moments include Teja’s emotional diary room confession and the heartwarming moments in which Zelah spoke openly about his trans identity.
Marcus and Teja were the latest housemates to face eviction, heartbreakingly just a single day before tonight’s grand final.
It leaves six remaining in the Big Brother house – Cameron, Elsa, Richard, Tate, Jenny, and Emily – awaiting the fate of the viewing public.
They will go head-to-head to nab a £100,000 cash prize as well as the crown of this year’s winner.
Last night’s episode saw the Big Brother house magically transformed into the world of Oz, in celebration of the upcoming film, Wicked: For Good.
Housemates had to face tasks related to the movie, including building the famous Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City.
After a dinner banquet together, everyone was asked to pay the Wizard a visit, where they each received a box containing a gift.
Inside Marcus’s box was a ticket home, declaring him as the tenth housemate to be evicted.
Teja was greeted with her own ticket home upon opening her box too, in a shocking double eviction.
