According to Larisa Nitsoi, various topics were discussed at the forum, but she was interested in the panel on the issue of the Russian language in kindergartens and schools. The writer explained that the children communicate in Ukrainian during lessons, because at this time they are in the Ukrainian language center. However, outside of school, they mainly speak Russian, because everyone else also communicates in this language.
Nitsoi claims that Deputy Minister of Education Anastasia Konovalova did not take responsibility for this issue. “The deputy minister speaks as if the language environment during a break is like the weather. Sometimes it is there, sometimes it is not, and it does not depend on people. I am boiling, because I understand this: if the teachers provide the Ukrainian-speaking environment in the lesson, they can also provide it during the break, but since our teachers are used to instructions, they must be given instructions. And who should give them this instruction? Isn’t the Ministry of Education the same deputy, minister, etc.? – writes the linguist.
This problem bothered the writer and she decided to ask the intercessor about it in more detail. Since it was not possible to ask questions during the event, the linguist went to Anastasia Konovalova after the event to talk in person.

She told the patroness about the experience of Germany, where the language center in schools is well controlled, and offered to give instructions to teachers to do the same. However, Anastasia Konovalova replied that she did not understand how this was possible.
