Galaxy S26 Edge could become the thinnest Samsung flagship in history / Samsung photoAccording to the latest media reports, Samsung has canceled the release of the thin flagship Galaxy S26 Edge due to the poor sales of its predecessor. At the same time, the new generation Galaxy Edge was allegedly already ready for mass production.
This, in particular, is evidenced by photos of the layout published by an OnLeaks insider. According to measurements, the thickness of the Galaxy S26 Edge is 5.5 mm, which is 0.3 mm thinner than the S25 Edge and 0.14 mm thinner than the iPhone 17 Air. However, this is without taking into account the protruding camera unit.
The design of the smartphone fully corresponds to the previously published renders. The Galaxy S26 Edge was expected to get a massive camera unit spanning almost the entire width of the rear panel in the style of the iPhone 17 Pro.

It is expected that instead of the Galaxy S26 Edge, the Galaxy S26 Plus will be released with the usual thickness – the upcoming novelty has already been shown on the renders. The start of sales of the entire Galaxy S26 line is expected in January 2026.
The characteristics of all Galaxy S26 models were revealed even before the announcement. The main improvement over the S25 will be larger camera sensors and larger batteries.
