He noted that he met with the soldiers of the 65th separate mechanized brigade, which as part of the 17th corps defends Ukraine in the Orykhiv direction, and also met with the soldiers of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade, which is defending in the Stepnohirsk region.
“Today, we discussed in great detail with the commanders what exactly is needed to strengthen our positions, how to give more forces to this direction – an important direction. I am grateful for the full information about the difficulties that exist right here in the Zaporizhzhia region, and especially in the areas of Gulyaipol, as well as the direction of Kamianskyi. Tomorrow, I will hold a Stavka regarding this particular region, and specifically on the defense of Zaporizhzhia and on all the issues raised,” he said in his video address.
The other day, as reported by the Defense Forces of the South, the Ukrainian military withdrew from their positions near the settlements of Novouspenivske, Nove, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka in Zaporizhzhia.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, the situation on the front line remains difficult, the fiercest battles continue in the districts of Kupyansk, Lyman, Siversk, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Myrnograd and Gulyaipol.
