In Vinnytsia, an employee of the territorial recruitment and social support center was convicted of extorting and obtaining an illegal benefit.
This was reported in the press service of the Vinnytsia City Court.
The investigation established that the accused, while working in one of the departments of the TCC and SP of the region, during a personal conversation with an acquaintance, demanded $2,000 for handing over 20 blank subpoena forms with a signature and seal. Later, he gave him four such forms for $600.
In addition, the man said that for $16,000 he could influence the decision to enter data on a three-month deferment from mobilization. During the meeting, he received this amount and was detained by law enforcement officers.
In court, the accused fully admitted his guilt, expressed remorse and expressed his desire to continue his service in the Armed Forces.
The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Art. 368 and Part 2 of Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code, imposing a sentence of 2 years of imprisonment with a ban on holding positions in the TCC for three years.
At the same time, according to Art. 62 and 72 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the punishment was replaced by 2 years of detention in the disciplinary battalion.
The verdict has not yet entered into force.
