Details: Speaking to reporters at the airport before boarding the plane, Rubio said that US President Donald Trump’s promise to resume testing America’s nuclear capabilities, including delivery systems, is a reaction to the actions of other nuclear powers.

“We have to make sure that these systems work and are reliable,” he emphasized.
The Secretary of State also noted that China’s nuclear program was not directly discussed at the G7 ministerial meetings, but the issue of China’s military buildup has long been a concern of the United States and its allies.
“The Chinese are carrying out the fastest build-up of military power in the history of mankind,” he said.
Rubio added that the expansion of nuclear capabilities is an integral part of this process.
“Obviously, we’re watching this closely, and I think everyone is concerned about it,” the state secretary said.
