Former world champion Mairis Briedis expressed admiration for absolute world champion Oleksandr Usyk, calling him a truly great boxer.
“I believe that Oleksandr Usyk is a great fighter. People don’t fully understand how outstanding he is. Look: Tyson was knocked out, had losses. The same was true of Muhammad Ali. And Usyk went through his entire career without a single defeat. That is why he is better. He won everything in amateurs, and also in professionals. First, he became the absolute champion in cruiserweight, and then won all the belts in super heavy weight. He achieved everything possible – no one else has done that,” Briedis said.
Earlier, the former world champion in cruiserweight Mairis Briedis advised the absolute world champion Oleksandr Usyk to end his career.
