NABU reported that the former deputy prime minister was informed of suspicion of illegal enrichment.
We are talking about the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov / photo facebook.com/oleksiy.chernyshovThe National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) claim that the participants in the corruption scheme at Energoatom transferred funds to the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine. In total, the transfer of 1.2 million dollars was recorded. and almost 100,000 euros. This was reported by the NABU press service on the Telegram channel.
Law enforcement officers do not specify the name of the official, but indicate his code name – “Che Guevara”, which was called in internal communication by the members of the criminal organization.
According to the mass media, we are talking about the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov.
“In general, the transfer of 1.2 million US dollars and almost 100,000 euros in cash was recorded – directly in the office or in a medical clinic that belonged to one of the participants of the criminal organization,” the report says.
It is noted that the last amount of 500,000 US dollars was transferred to the wife of “Che Guevara” after he himself became a suspect of NABU and SAP in corruption crimes.
At the beginning of the audio, a person who is presented on the tapes as “Sugarman” (according to the media, this may be one of the Zuckerman brothers) discusses with “Officer 1” the transfer of funds to “Che Guevara”.
Also on the tapes you can hear “Sugarman” telling “Employees of Office 1” that they should give “300,000” to the Deputy Prime Minister.
On the tapes, “Sugarman” also says “Timur asks to give 500 there”, “We will give 500 to this Che Guevara”.
NABU also reported that the former deputy prime minister was informed of suspicion of illegal enrichment.
“The exhibitor was among the people who visited the so-called “laundry room” – a place where funds obtained through crime were legalized,” the NABU noted.
Scandal in “Energoatom” – what is knownOn November 10, it became known that NABU and SAP conducted a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector. Members of the criminal organization created a large-scale corruption scheme to influence strategic state enterprises, in particular JSC NAEK Energoatom.
At that time, it was reported that law enforcement officers had searched Energoatom and Justice Minister Galushchenko.
According to the investigation, the criminal organization systematically received illegal benefits from the contractors of “Energoatom” in the amount of 10% to 15% of the value of the contracts.
Later, NABU made public part of the records related to this case. The records show people marked with the following nicknames: “Carlson”, “Professor”, “Tenor” and “Rocket”.
In turn, the Ministry of Energy reacted to the large-scale corruption scandal in the energy sector, assuring that all those involved will be held accountable.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, also reacted to the exposure of the corruption scheme and called on government officials to cooperate with NABU and law enforcement officers.
