President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited Kherson on November 11, which was a significant event for Ukrainians.

Zelensky this morning published appeal to Ukrainians in honor of the third anniversary of the de-occupation of Kherson.

“We remember this joy, tears, hugs. Gratitude when you see your loved ones returning. The occupiers escaped from Kherson thanks to the strength of our people,” the president wrote.

Zelensky also presented state awards to military and civilians who showed courage during the occupation.

Kherson has been under the occupation of Russian troops since March 2, 2022. After more than eight months of temporary control, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched an operation to liberate the city in September. Already on November 11, 2022, the Ukrainian military entered Kherson, returning it to the control of Ukraine.

It was the only regional center that Russian troops were able to temporarily capture. Despite the occupation, the city did not surrender – residents went to peaceful protests and continued to resist, keeping faith in liberation.

Zelenskyi’s visit emphasizes the importance of restoring control in Kherson, which has become a symbol of Ukraine’s struggle. Next steps are likely to focus on rebuilding infrastructure and supporting the local population.

During the past day, the Russian occupiers continued shelling the civilian infrastructure of the Kherson region. As a result of the attack, seven people were injured.

On the night of November 11, Russia again attacked energy facilities in Odesa. Energy workers were able to restore electricity to 1,600 families.

During the past day, November 10, 2025, enemy strikes suffered 6 settlements of the Kharkiv region.
