In Lviv, as a result of an outbreak of acute intestinal infection in the lyceum, 19 cases of the disease were registered, of which 18 led to hospitalization. Among the patients are 17 children under the age of 15 and one teacher.

In 6 children, laboratory tests confirmed rotavirus infection. Three patients were infected through contact at the place of residence. All hospitalized patients have a moderate condition, they have typical symptoms of an acute intestinal infection: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, general weakness, abdominal pain, and an increase in body temperature to 39°C.
Specialists of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention are conducting an epidemiological investigation. They examine samples of food products, drinking water, washings from environmental objects, examine the staff of the food block and analyze samples from patients. The source of infection and transmission factors are established, the investigation is ongoing. The police started investigating the incident, as the victims were eating in the lyceum cafeteria on November 4-5.
People with symptoms of an acute intestinal infection are urged to see a doctor immediately.
We will remind, on November 8, it became known that 10 people with symptoms of poisoning were hospitalized in Lviv, among them – 9 children and one teacher. During November 4-5, all the victims ate at Lyceum canteens .
Earlier, 12 children were poisoned in a hotel and entertainment complex in the village of Slavsko, Lviv region.
IN Nine people were poisoned by carbon monoxide in an apartment on Knyaz Roman Street in the Halytsky district of Lviv. Among them are five children.
