A 16-year-old student of one of the Kharkiv technical schools set fire to a locomotive that was standing at a depot in Kharkiv.

Details: According to the investigation, the young man found an offer of “easy money” in Telegram – to commit arson for a monetary reward. During the correspondence, he received instructions on how to perform a “task”.

On the evening of November 7, at the “Osnova” depot railway station in Kharkiv, a teenager approached one of the locomotives, doused it with an incendiary mixture and set it on fire with a lighter.

He filmed the practice in order to later send a “report” to confirm the completed “task”.

After that, the teenager ran away from the scene, but he was later arrested. He has already been remanded in custody.

The young man was informed of the suspicion of intentional damage to someone else’s property by arson. At the same time, law enforcement officers are considering the possible involvement of Russian special services in the organization of this crime. In the future, the suspect’s actions may be qualified as sabotage.

In addition, the teenager’s involvement in the arson of a military car in Kharkiv in early November is being investigated.
