We will remind you that the criminal proceedings have been ongoing for more than a year on the fact of the road accident committed by the former head of the BEB detectives Oleksandr Tkachuk, as a result of which a woman was injured. Both her limbs were amputated. UA.News journalists received a response from the Prosecutor General’s Office to an official request regarding the status of the Tkachuk case.
Oleksandr Tkachuk, driving a Toyota Camry on the Stolychny Highway near the Vydubychi metro station in Kyiv, in July 2024, hit a woman as a result of which the latter suffered amputation of both legs. At first, Dodge and VAZ cars collided at that place. When the drivers and passengers of the cars got out and were near the scene of the accident, a Toyota driven by Oleksandr Tkachuk entered the Dodge.
For several months in criminal proceedings no one appointed neither auto technical nor medical examination. What’s more, Tkachuk was not even suspended from his duties at BEB while the case was pending. The situation moved from a standstill as a result of public publicity through the mass media.
