English Sunderland midfielder Granit Xhaka talked about working under the leadership of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta. His words are quoted by The Athletic.

“Everyone knows that I could have left Arsenal in January 2020, but Mikel Arteta came to the club, with whom we had a frank conversation.

I was already packing my bags with a contract from another club, but he convinced me to stay in the team. He gave me a chance, told me that I was in the right place. Everything he told me then turned out to be true. When Arteta came, he replaced me. He changed a lot in the club,” said Xhaka.

Granit Xhaka has made ten appearances for Sunderland this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
