Ten people were hospitalized in Lviv – nine children aged 6 to 13 and one teacher – with symptoms of an acute intestinal infection. The incident is related to the consumption of food in the school canteen during November 4-5.

Victims experienced nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. All patients were admitted to the Lviv Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital.
The medical director of the hospital, Andriy Orfin, said that the arrival of patients began on November 5. Currently, the condition of all hospitalized patients is assessed as moderate.
Specialists of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention are conducting an epidemiological investigation to establish the exact cause of the poisoning. They interview patients, find out what products were consumed, take samples of food products, water and washings, and also examine the employees of the institution.
Earlier, 12 children were poisoned in a hotel and entertainment complex in the village of Slavsko, Lviv Region.
IN Nine people were poisoned by carbon monoxide in an apartment on Knyaz Roman Street in the Halytsky district of Lviv. Among them are five children.
