199th semi-final and 200th indoor victory: Djokovic beat Borges in Athens

24-time winner of Grand Slam tournaments Novak Djokovic (Serbia, ATP 5) reached the semi-finals of the ATP 250 competition in Athens (Greece), which is held on indoor hard courts.

In the second round, the Serb defeated the sixth seed in two sets Nunu Borges (Portugal, ATP 47) in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Djokovic had his first face-to-face match against Borges.

At the start of the tournament, Novak dealt with Alejandro Tabilo in two games. His next opponent will be Marcos Chiron (USA, ATP 72) or Yannick Hanfmann (Germany, ATP 117).

Djokovic reached his 199th career Tour semifinal. For Novak, the victory over Borges became the 200th indoor game.
