From now on, the Day of Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be celebrated on November 8, reports the command of the Airborne Forces of Ukraine.

“From now on, we celebrate our holiday on November 8 – as it should be according to the New Julian calendar. November 8 – the Feast of all God’s angels led by the Archangel Michael – is not coincidentally the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Saint Michael is the senior commander of the heavenly army and the patron of the military on earth. According to church traditions, it was he who led all the good angels to fight against the forces that rebelled against God and defeated them,” the message reads.

The DSHV reminds that the fighters of this type of troops repel the forces of the Russian Federation along the entire front line – from Sumy Oblast to Donetsk Oblast, from Donetsk Oblast to Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblast.

Decree of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi No. 817/2025 on the postponement of the Day of Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from November 21 to November 8 has already entered into force.
