The manager of the Cuban, Mike Borao, said that his ward will hold a contender fight on the IBF line and will become a mandatory contender for Usyk in case of victory.
It is expected that Sanchez will enter the ring against the British ex-champion Daniel Dubois in the first half of 2026, after which the winner of this confrontation will meet the Ukrainian.
“Of course, Frank will first face former world champion Dubois to prove his strength. However, he is burning with the desire to enter the ring to fight against the title holder (Usyk – adj.),” Borao said.
Sanchez’s last fight was in February, when he knocked out Mexican Ramon Echeverria. In 2024, Frank suffered the only defeat in his career against Agit Kabayel, who represents Germany.
