The network of unity of Ukrainians abroad will cover all EU countries by the end of 2026 and will become a platform for informing, advising and supporting Ukrainians who plan to return home.
This was reported by the Ministry of Political Affairs.
Deputy Minister of Social Policy Ilona Gavronska thanked the EU for the extension of temporary protection until March 2027 at the meeting of the Platform of Solidarity in the European Commission and announced the transition to planning for return and recovery. According to her, the key role in this process will belong to the Ukrainian communities in Europe, which will help those who decide to return.
The Ministry of Social Policy stressed that the Unity Network will unite both new Unity Centers and active Ukrainian initiatives in the EU. Ukraine is counting on the support of the European Commission so that communities have resources for long-term work.
EU representative Ylva Johansson noted that the EU is moving from a protection model to a partnership with Ukraine, with an emphasis on recovery and facilitating the return of Ukrainians.
