As reported by human rights activists who monitor what is said in the Russian state media, they counted about 600 calls to beat Ukrainian cities and leave the population without electricity.
The researchers documented such calls from 173 people. Regarding the statements of the three most active – presenters Volodymyr Solovyov, Serhiy Mikheev and General Andrii Gurulyov, who actively participates in Russian television broadcasts – human rights defenders submitted a submission to the International Criminal Court.
“We submitted evidence that they called for the bombing of civilian infrastructure, the destruction of Ukrainian energy, a few days before these bombings took place. And a few days after these bombings, they systematically justified these crimes on the air of state TV channels, which have a large audience. According to our vision and the evidence we submitted, they appear as complicit in war crimes,” said investigative journalist and researcher of the Crimean Human Rights Group Iryna Sedova.
