The proposal was voiced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Aviation Development Oleksandr Kozenko during a meeting with the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands. The negotiations were devoted to strengthening the aviation capabilities of the Armed Forces.
“Helicopters, in addition to their classic role, are now also a part of the air defense of Ukraine. Therefore, we propose to create a helicopter division in the “Aviation Capabilities Coalition”, which will strengthen the development of army aviation,” Kozenko emphasized.
The deputy minister highly appreciated the support of the Netherlands, which provided seven aid packages for the development of the aviation of the Armed Forces. Over Ukrainian specialists in the aviation industry have already received training in the Netherlands.
