According to the message of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Telegram, in October, the Russian occupiers sharply increased the number of guided aerial bomb attacks on the territory of Ukraine.
“In one month, more than 5,328 KABs were dropped at the positions of our troops and in front-line cities. This is the largest number of KABs dropped in a month since the beginning of 2025,” the message emphasizes.
As noted in the Ministry of Defense, air terror from Russia is increasing.
In particular, in 10 months, the enemy has already dropped about 40,000 aerial bombs. This is the same amount as for the whole of last year.
The war in Ukraine – the use of KABsAs UNIAN reported, in October, the head of the communications department of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat assured that the Ukrainian air defense forces are capable of shooting down guided air bombs with a jet engine. Currently, the Russians use new modifications of KABs in isolated cases, mostly in order to test the effectiveness of Ukrainian defense.
Nowadays, anti-aircraft guns pose a greater danger to the civilian population and the rear: they are not very accurate weapons. The columnist of the “Military” portal Vadym Kushnikov suggests that the range of anti-aircraft missiles can already reach 200 km, if we analyze the launches of Russian anti-aircraft missiles and the distances they hit, which have already taken place, in particular, in the Poltava region, around the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region.
