There are reports on social networks about an unknown man who allegedly attacks women at night in the Obolon district of Kyiv, hitting them on the head with a hammer.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine.

According to local residents, 11 people have already become victims, all of them are in hospitals. Witnesses suggest that the attacker may be local, as he operates in the same sector.

“In the dark, he hits women on the head with a hammer. There are already 11 victims. All of them are in hospitals. Most likely, it is someone local, because he operates in the same sector and there was already a case when they tried to catch up with him, but he was able to hide among the houses,” the woman said.

Kyiv police are currently checking these reports and have contacted the author of the publication. Official statements about such attacks have not been received by law enforcement officers. Law enforcement officers urge to trust only official sources and not to spread unverified information.
