About a third of the battles and 50% of the use of anti-aircraft guns are in the Pokrovsky – Zelensky direction

The Pokrovsky direction accounts for about a third of all combat operations on the front, as well as 50% of all uses of guided aerial bombs by Russian troops, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

At the briefing on November 3, he noted that he had held the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, at which he heard information about the situation at the front.

“The enemy has had no success in Pokrovsk in recent days, somewhere around 26-30% of all combat operations on the front take place in Pokrovsk. What is the use of KABs – 50% of all KABs use goes to Pokrovsk, that is, you understand how difficult it is for us in Pokrovsk,” said the president.

According to Zelenskyi, regarding the situation around Kupyansk, about 60 Russian soldiers remain there, “a cleanup is underway.” In the Lyman direction, as the president noted, there are no changes, and there is a stabilization of the situation, in the Kramatorsk direction, there are also no changes. Fighting is going on in Kostyantynivka, the situation is still unchanged, and the counteroffensive operation in the Dobropilsk direction continues, Zelenskyy added.

“Holovkom said that about 2-3 kilometers were still cleared, but Russia understands that it has completely lost the initiative there, and we understand that they are preparing revenge. It is clear that they are accumulating troops, from interceptions, we understand by all indications,” Zelenskyy said.

Earlier today, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the Ukrainian military is increasing pressure on the Dobropilsky salient, continuing to liberate and clear territories, “which forces the enemy to disperse forces and makes it impossible to concentrate the main efforts in the Pokrovsk region.”

On November 2, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there are results “in the destruction of the occupier” on the Pokrovsky front.

On October 26, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the penetration of Russian troops into Pokrovsk.

Pokrovsk – a city with a population of about 1,260 people (estimated by the local authorities at the end of October, before the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation – more than 60 thousand) – is an important road and railway junction and was under threat of encirclement by Russian troops for most of the year.
