Arsenal’s head coach shared optimistic news from the team’s infirmary. The Gunners boss is hoping that three attacking players – Martin Edegaard, Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz – will be ready to take the field in the crucial north London derby against Tottenham.

All three players have missed significant stretches of the season with injuries, but Arteta says their recoveries are progressing well.

“I would say it takes a few weeks. I hope we can see them on the pitch very soon,” Arteta said at a press conference, hinting that the players will return after the upcoming international break.

The game against Tottenham will take place on November 23 and the manager has confirmed that he hopes to see the trio in the squad before that date.

“I’m excited because these are amazing players. I see how hard they work every day, how desperate they are to be part of the team. It will be a huge boost for the squad to have these players back after such a long time,” Mikel added.

The captain of the team, Martin Edegore, is recovering from a knee injury he suffered in early October. Noni Madueke also had a knee problem against Manchester City in September. Kai Havertz, in turn, has not played since the very start of the season, as he underwent knee surgery in August.
