“A few hours ago, there was an attack on the Slovyanskaya TPP – an attack by Russian bombs. Unfortunately, two people died. My condolences. There are wounded. And this is purely terror. Normal people don’t fight like that, and the world should have an appropriate reaction to such a Russian war,” the president said.
According to him, energy workers are working all day in Ukraine “from Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv Oblast to Frankiv Oblast and Vinnytsia Oblast” after the massive Russian strike at night.
“Unfortunately, there were hits, and the target was energy. The strike was complex, combined, specially calculated, and it was difficult to counter,” Zelenskyi said.
Updated at 9:55 p.m. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that as a result of a Russian airstrike on the Slovyanskaya TPP, two energy workers – Serhii Dyachenko and Mykhailo Grigoriev – were killed. Another five employees of the station were injured.
The agency noted that the impact damaged the equipment of the engineering and laboratory building.

In particular, the occupiers attacked the energy infrastructure. A hostel was hit in Zaporizhzhia, 11 people were injured, including six children. A 36-year-old woman was injured in Boryspil, Kyiv region. In addition, Ukrzaliznytsia reported that a number of trains were delayed as a result of the blackout that occurred due to enemy shelling.
It became known that a 7-year-old girl, who was injured during the Russian attack on Ladyzhyn in Vinnytsia, died in the hospital. She was taken to the hospital in extremely serious condition. Doctors fought for the child’s life, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to save him.
The Air Force disclosed the details of the night attack by the Russians. According to their data, air defense shot down or suppressed 623 enemy targets, and a total of 705 means of air attack were detected – 52 missiles and 653 UAVs of various types. Direct hits of 16 missiles and 63 strike UAVs at 20 locations and falling debris at 19 locations in different regions of Ukraine were recorded.
